On 20 March 2025, ACRN successfully held its Community Advisory Board (CAB) Quarterly Review Meeting and Refresher Training in Harare. The CAB comprises twelve members from diverse groups, including HIV advocates, health workers, and local authorities.
The meeting discussed ongoing research initiatives and enhancing the sustainability of community engagement efforts. Attendees also identified potential challenges in conducting studies on HIV and Influenza vaccines and explored possible solutions. Attendees also participated in group discussions on Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) messaging for Probiotics and Pre-eclampsia studies to ensure clarity and effectiveness in community outreach.
ACRN is dedicated to fostering community engagement in research and ensuring that studies are conducted ethically and practically. The CAB’s involvement is crucial in guiding these efforts, ensuring that research remains transparent, inclusive, and beneficial to the community.
