The Africa Clinical Research Network (ACRN) was pleased to be represented at the Africa Digital Summit 2025 by Romina Mariano, ACRN’s Chief of Staff. This year’s theme – “Unlocking AI: From Ambition to Impact” – reflects a growing momentum toward practical, results-driven applications of AI across sectors.
At ACRN, AI is being integrated into our operations and business model from the ground up – shaping how we approach trial design, data capture, site activation, and regulatory processes. Our goal is to harness these tools to deliver more equitable, efficient, and scalable clinical research across the continent.
The discussions at the summit affirmed that Africa’s digital future must be led from within – with solutions that are built for and by African institutions.
